One who has simply seen Sri Sri Gurumaharaj can never appropriately convey the extraordinarily entrancing aura that one sensed. Imagine then the state of consciousness of one who has spent days, months, years and even their lives in the presence of Sri Sri Gurumaharaj. Imagine then the magnitude of the void one must be feeling with the departure of this supreme and divine entity from mortal life.

In the chronicles of time, there have arrived some great souls who, during their earthly existence have left a permanent and lasting impression in the lives and minds of their people, their nation and communities of generations to come. Such individuals have effected the evolution of our general behaviour and of our everyday conduct in life, our fundamental attitude towards all things living and most importantly here, our dedicated belief in God. As the chosen successor of Sri Sri Balananda Brahmachari ( Baramaharaj ), Sri Sri Gurumaharaj was naturally expected to possess great spiritual intensity, however in this case such a prerequisite was irrelevant. It seemed as though Sri Sri Gurumaharaj was born with an innate wisdom and understanding of the world, as though He was the reincarnation of a previous supreme being, already an enlightened soul with an inconceivable power of perception. When He spoke ( especially during Satsangya ), the words flowed as if from an endless river of the most blissful poetry. His sheer beauty, the fairest complexion, the sweetest smile and the most enchanting scent that always emanated from His person made it apparent to all that Sri Sri Gurumaharaj was not of our realm but of a much higher plain of existence, ageless and timeless. Most alluring of all though were His songs ( Kirtan ), through which he channelled and embedded the message of God into our hearts and minds. All were mesmerised when they saw and heard Sri Sri Gurumaharaj perform Kirtan. His profound devotion during singing personified Him not as a messenger of God but as one with God, a true Celestial Being. The absolute purity and Godliness that radiated from this Being transcended all of our hatred, anger, selfishness and petty-mindedness demonstrating that true devotion to God and love, humility and tolerance towards all is the simple solution for accomplishing a flourishing co-existence with our brothers and sisters.

Sri Sri Gurumaharaj is the manifestation of love, kindness, selflessness and adoration of God. To have lost Him will eternally leave an immense sense of emptiness in all of our hearts, and the mourning for His passing can never realistically end. Our sole consolation must be that Sri Sri Gurumaharaj's spirit is eternal, and whether He is with us physically or in spirit, it will not hinder His ability to hear our prayers. We must now recollect and carry out the lessons that Sri Sri Gurumaharaj has taught us and also nurture the generations to come to continue His legacy likewise.
